What's new for 2026/27
The Personal Allowance remains frozen at £12,570 and the higher-rate threshold at £50,270 for 2026/27, so as pay rises more of it is taxed — a phenomenon known as fiscal drag. Student loan repayment thresholds and the new Plan 5 (for courses started from September 2023) are included.
When the 2026/27 Agenda for Change pay award is confirmed, add the new salary to the calculator to see your updated take-home pay. Bookmark this page — we refresh it each tax year.
